More ideas for residential centres
Got a couple of suggestions for residential centres:
1. Savio House, Bollinghton, Macclesfield, 01625 573256. This only seems to cater for large groups (minimum 19). Rate quoted was £28.65 per person for Friday and Saturday night. This is self-catering sleeping in dorms. Minimum booking is £19, therefore it would cost at least £544!
2. Edale YHA, Nether Booth, Edale, 01433 670302. This looks encouraging. It's free for us to join the YHA if we can prove who we are. Cost is £9 per person per night for under 18's. It's £12.50 for over 18's. Room combinations are 2's, 4's 6's, 8's and 12's. You have shared kitchen facilities and it has showers. It's about 40 mins from the M1 and about 1 hour from Alton Towers. Deposit of £1 per person per night, balance to pay in two weeks. They also have their own outdoor activities, but you'll have to book them for Sat and Sun if you want to do that.
3. Oakes Holiday Centre near Sheffield, 0114 2359995. These folk organise their own activities - not what we want.
4. The Briars. These are at Crich near Matlock. You have to go full board - not cooking facilities. Approx cost for Friday and Saturday night with evening meal on Friday and breakfast Saturday and Sunday was £35 per head.
